Re: American Airlines Network Thread - 2020

CLT would be dead. PHL would see WN and other LCC's fill the void, just as they did when AA left their hubs in BNA and RDU. As for CLT, UA would go in there in a heartbeat. I agree with you about PHL, but why would UA of all airlines move into CLT? That makes zero sense to me, unless they dumped IA...

Re: Boeing CEO: A major US airline likely will go out of business this year,

My opinion DL is safe. If UA goes, for ORD AA will pick up the slack. Maybe B6 grows there. DL will want IAH for a south central Texas hub. DEN southwest and Frontier could pick up the slack. LAX Delta expands. SFO perhaps AA could take over. EWR and IAD would probably be picked over. If it was AA- ...

Many markets, like my hometown of CID, will only see one Delta flight a day. 1 CR9 to MSP and that’s it. Looks similar for MSN, DSM As well. Lots more routes chopped from DTW. How many flights a day are being run from ATL? Would be curious to see. Looks like G4 reversed course. It’s nice to have the...

I feel like AA has cut significantly, especially May DCA gets cut back dramatically. Here at my hometown airport in CID they haven’t run any ORD flights (and that is the closest hub) and it’s maybe be 1 or 2 flights a day depending on the day to CLT and DFW and that’s it. I don’t think it really matters about how spread out the area is. Destin /fort Walton is about the same you need a car to get where you are going. Same with Punta Gorda.
