Re: Charlotte Aviation - 2024

Apparently the Burger King in the atrium has been closed since early February due to another fire. That’s 2 fires in less than 2 years. The last fire closed it for nearly a year. Maybe it’s time for something else in that space?

Nice to see them start PNS. Wonder if it could be the start of a larger presence there given the success of G4 at VPS and a rumored G4 focus city coming to Gulf Shores when that airport finally opens to commercial traffic. I could also see Beeeze at ECP too.

Re: Sun Country eyeing second focus city similar to MSP

Has Sun Country ever considered a name change? I get the original premise of being a vacation airline from MSP to warm destinations, but flights like MSP-CMH don’t necessarily evoke “sun country “ destination to me. Plus the name is not recognizable outside MSP. It’s no wonder why STL didn’t pan out...

American will be offering mainline Airbus A319 flights from CID to ORD this summer. First time in 30 years AA has had a mainline flight through ORD that’s quite impressive. The only viable options for a true SE hub IMO are BNA and RDU. RDU might be too close to IAD but then again CLT is relatively close to DCA.
