Air France had big plan for A319 network to Africa and the Middle East some 20 years ago. Some of those routs where suppose to very long. Unfortunately most of it didn't even start and some of A319LR, as AF called them, even left the fleet. Its seems the thin routs with A319 have always been very few.

A340 are all gone and many A330 is coming of lease soon and will be leaving. Leehman have been written about cheep A330-200 being offered from 2018 and on.
