It was too late to the party. The most ceos got sold when the 787 was delayed. If Airbus would have launched the NEO in 2005 the 787 and the 330neo would have split the market. When it’s not a pandemic, there are nonstops to Asia.

Consider how difficult it is to travel to Asia right now. When things return to something approaching normal, Vegas will again court Asian business hard, and the nonstops will return.

US has made it official: airspace closed to Russian planes.

Two UA flights from the east coast to Asia are nearing Russian space, but can probably avoid it. UA SFO-DEL has been canceled.

They just told us here at Dulles it's weather issue - no taxi/uber reimbursement and they won't retrieve luggage if we deplane before they go over to DCA. No idea what's going on now. Weather? I don't think so. I'm looking out my window right now and don't see planes on the filghtline like I normal...

CTAF is really irrelevant here... Hope that's not what JetBlue were thinking as they taxied out to 10. That comment was based on both crews being under IFR, the post above using FR24 or Flight Aware, it appears the KA cancelled IFR close in to the airport and neither crew were aware of each other. ...

Interesting choice of diversion airport given where the plane was already at the time it deviates. If it flew all the way back from the Arctic Ocean to LED, wouldn't it be a better choice to fly a little bit further to land at HEL instead? That's about 200 miles difference. Not much of a difference.

He asks for runway lights to be increased, and the ATC tells him they are all the way up. Is it possible he thought he had the airport in sight, but was actually looking at something else, disorienting him?
