door-cracking (yes, at low altitude with depressurised cabin) will create air circulation that would encourage the fire. so whether to do the procedure or not would be based on a cockpit-crew member going downstairs to visually assess fire location and spread-pattern?

787 aside, (and although I am an airbus fan) 77E & 77W I think are the most amazing and perfect aircraft for ANY airline to base their longhaul fleet on. 787 is small for some routes with high demand/capacity that 777's can cover easily. Plus 777's have good dispatch reliability.

with each aircraft comes a different seat type especially in J/F. This inconsistency & changes - as opposed to a constant leading product will not be taken well by the Japanese Premium Class market. Japan market does not like surprises or substitutions, they have low tolerance for that.

thats the thing with EK - INCONSISTENT PRODUCT.

depending on aircraft, route and even flights on same route, you will see different seats. add to that crew inconsistency/service.

and i still dont know how they manage Eco 3-4-3 in 777!!!!
