I am not foreign to paying for an upgrade either, depending on how much it'd be. Doing it in online in advance seems to expensive though, as i'd first have to buy 16000 actual FF miles to spend.

That maintenance yesterday makes me think about the Helios accident some years back, especially coupled with the seemingly controlled descent shortly after reaching cruise altitude.
