Delta full time agents above & below wing start at $13.63. They cap out at $30.13 after 10yrs of service.

Ready Reserve (part time) agents start at $14.13 and cap at out $15.01 after a year.

These were year round routes. It makes sense after GUM was dropped. They were the only remaining 757 routes from NRT.

Delta used to fly JFK-GEO IIRC. Large guyanese diaspora (of mostly Indian origin) in NYC. But I assume the numbers weren't there. Delta flew JFK-GEO for probably 4 or 5 years on the 757. ITH and ROA are shoe ins both because what they're asking for is reasonable and because they're asking for less in SCASD funds than they already have in community funds and because they're proposing network service. The C gates were designed for the Saab. The waiting areas are tiny. A full 50 seater's passengers would take up two gate areas. They would need to be a big redesign for anything larger than a 50 seater to use those gates.

That American Eagle Airlines operated from April 1980 to April 1981. The picture probably shows most of their fleet. Notice the Capitol DC-8 behind the two American Eagle 707s.

Going back 30 years, and I don't have the actual data, but I believe NWA had 400 flights a day in Memphis say around 87 or 88, not long after the merger. and now combined DL and NWA is probably 40 i f not less. Columbia, MO, (COU) now has service to DEN, DFW, & ORD on UA & AA. As recently as 2008 there was only empty B1900s to Kansas City.

Nice to see AC returning to PVD. They pulled out around 2013/2014. When they left, PVD-YYZ was on the B1900. I remember seeing Air Ontario Dash 8s in PVD in the '90s.

Ultimately I think it was TWA's route structure that did them in. They had one hub (STL) and a handful of focus cities (JFK, LAX, SJU).

The new branding has really grown on me. I hated it at first, but the old AA branding really needed to go. It represented 9/11, crashes, Ch 11, and disgruntled labor. The new branding is fresh and modern looking. It's a breath of fresh AAir.

That dinner looks delicious! I remember the faux wood trays debuted when there was still the faux wood on the lav floors. It always felt like I was eating off the bathroom floor. The new Alessi service wear is such an improvement.

There are always a stack of extra cards on every aircraft. There only needs to be one card per set of seats. I doubt that many people actually take the safety card on purpose.

I think WN is the only US airline that still has ticket jackets. I haven't seen any at AA since 2014.

Delta was very serious about adding Nairobi from Dakar. The only reason why this route didn't happened was because the government had safety concerns.

Also can't a 763 make it JFK-LOS, I'm pretty sure North American flew it nonstop on the 763.

Freedom was a subsidiary of Mesa. They flew the ERJ-145, Dash 8, & CRJ-900 at the same time. The CRJ-900s went to Pinnacle I believe. When Freedom was shut down in 2010 they only flew the ERJ-145. I remember the Dash flying PVD-JFK.
