RE: From Nikon D7100 To Canon EOS 7D Mark 2?

Hi Dickson, Rather than 70-200/2.8 L, you should try the 70-200/4 <acronym title="Island Airlines (USA) and Eagle Air/Arnaflug (Iceland)">IS</acronym> and 70-300L. I had the first and sold it after I got the 70-300L. The f4 <acronym title="Island Airlines (USA) and Eagle Air/Arnaflug (Iceland)">IS</...

For your needs, I think Nikon d7200 should be nice - as it has more reach for birds and wildlife. Canon 7D2 is also a good choice because of its AF. I personally prefer Canon's 100-400 Mk2 over Nikon 80-400 VR2 but you won't go wrong with either.

RE: Looking For A Good Camera

It really depends on a lot of things. You're not tight with the budget, but what kind of photography will you do other than shooting aircraft? If you want quality camera, take a look at Nikon D750. It's a full frame camera and has an excellent sensor. As for the lenses, 70-200/2.8 VR2 or 80-400 VR2 ...

I agree with some of the opinions here; Canon has a lead in the flagship 1DX market - because 1DX is indeed an excellent camera. I use 60D which has similar sensor to 7D. IMO, the highlight DR is also not very good, so I have to turn on HTP (highlight tone priority) which makes ISO200 the lowest. As expected, the noise is also more visible (either due to HTP or ISO200). BUT - with sharp lenses like 70-200 series or 70-300L, I...

in DX mode, D800 will give you 15.3MP more or less, similar to D7000 (16MP), so noise-wise it will be much better than D200. The difference is actually not much in (sensor) size. D90 is better in term of high ISO noise, but if you put a sharp lens on 50D, at ISO100 you could actually make slightly larger printouts from its 15MP sensor. For aviation both D90 and 50D are excellent. IMO, lenses will make more noticeable diff...
