Southwest is NOT going to give up their major selling point for Dallas O&D pax- the use of a downtown air terminal as opposed to a long drive out to DFW. They'll cram more and more flights in there, use larger equipment, and shift connecting traffic to STL and DEN before they EVER give that up.

Very easy. Shockingly easy, automatic, in fact. Just as long as you're on a flight without a big upgrade list, lol.

ORD-ATL on a Friday afternoon I was #45 on the list as a silver. Same route at 0800 on a Saturday, I was #2 and cleared 48 hrs prior.
