Hi all I am planning a spotting trip to LHR and have worked out arrivals are going to be on 27R. RE: Spotting At MAN

Thanks for this information - it's really helpful!
Does anybody know the exact timings of the bus, and its number? Also, do you have to pay to get into the viewing park?

RE: BHX Spotting

I'm more of a rego taker rather than a photographer, but if I am far away from the action then maybe I need to reconsider. Another question I have is how many planes I will actually see. Obviously it will be nowhere near as LHR</acronym...

RE: BHX Spotting

Thanks very much for this information.
It sounds like it is possible to walk along the fence past the golf course to the middle of the runway, so this is probably what i'll do!
Thanks

BHX Spotting

Hi all, I am planning a spotting trip to Birmingham in a few weeks and need a bit of information about the best locations for viewing aircraft. I will be arriving by train, so won't have a car. I have read about Sheldon Country Park, which is easily accessible from Marston Green station. Is this spo...

RE: LHR 9L Arrivals

I'm not so worried about photos, I'm more of a rego taker! I would just like to know if the embankment area is likely to be frequented with other spotters throughout the day next monday, as I guess the more of us there are the less suspicious it will look to passing police.

RE: LHR 9L Arrivals

Is the departure level of T5 a bit in the middle of the terminal, as I don't want to be photoraphing aircraft in front of all the people checking in! Also, should I stand near the top of the embankment, or at the bottom nearer the road? Is it possible...

RE: LHR 9L Arrivals

I think i have found the embankment on google maps. I plan to be there for about 4 hours; are you confident i willnot be hassled by police? Lastly, is the walk to the embankment along a pavement?
Thanks, you have been really helpful!

Hi I am planning a spotting trip to LHR, however it looks like 9L will be in use and I have only ever been to myrtle avenue. Camera For A Beginner: Fujifilm S2950?

Hi I am looking to buy my first camera for plane spotting (up till now I have just been a rego taker) and have found a good price for a Fujifilm Finepix S2950. However i have a few questions about it: The camera has 18x optical zoom. Is that good? All other enthusiasts seem to talk about zoom in mm ...

RE: Heathrow Spotting Information #2

Sorry guys, forgot to mention in the above post: Is it likely that the police will move me on from the T5 drop off, and are there likely to be other spotters there, as I feel more comfortable spotting with company. Thanks ! <img src="http://cdn-...

RE: Heathrow Spotting Information #2

From what I have read, the T5 departure level sounds like the easiest place to get to, and to be honest, I am not too crazy about taking pictures (I am more of a rego taker). Anyway, all this may be irrelavant as 27L might be used for arrivals! Thanks...

Heathrow Spotting Information

Firstly I'll just apologise, as I am sure there is another post similar to this one already, but to save time I just started a new one. I have a few questions about spotting at Heathrow, so here goes: 1. Is Myrtle Avenue only good for 27L arrivals, or is it good for 27R as well? 2. When <acronym tit...

RE: LTN Peak Periods

I just had a look at the timetable on the website and it shows that El Al operate a B767 flight on Sunday arriving at 10:40 and departing at 12:05. Will it be a 767 or just a 737? Also, this sounds silly, but is there wifi at the spotting area, as it would be handy to look of flightradar to see wher...

Only live arrivals and departures, and not at the weekend. Also, it doesn't say about private aircraft and some charters

Hi I live near LTN and was wondering if anyone knew when the best time to go and see some action is.
