LY 008 that took off a few hours ago marks an end of an era.
As of now all flights to JFK will be 789.

They must have upgraded the 777 IFE. When I flew them the IFE sucked, it ran on a loop (non AVOD(screen kept going in and out and the power port under my seat was inop. Thanks guys! I noticed today on flightradar24 that LY flew AMS-TLV with a 747, but it's not a scheduled 747 I think, or just some days in high season. Wasn't that a freighter? Normally the 737 is scheduled. During the summer B744 are added some days of the week,tomorrow there's a B744 going to AMS.
