It seems like Swedes and Finns reacted to the heat in different ways . I partly disagree with you on that. Finnair captures great part of traffic to N.America from Russia. Hi, Now in the middle of winter it's a good time to go back to the hot summer 2018. I needed to use Finnair upgrade vouchers before the autumn, the solution was a quick day trip to London. Nothing official from Finnair yet but this sounds reliable, Sapporo (CTS) has been on the table for a quite some time. It looks they especially have the European ski tourists in their mind, rather than Hokkaido people travelling to Europe. Perhaps Haneda next, that's been on their wish list too.

Any idea where the slots are coming from?
Finnair is adding capacity to LHR from 31MAR19, a new daily service and more widebody flights.
A new daily service on HEL-LHR:
AY1343 11:40-12:50
AY1344 13:50-18:45
The daily 1337/1338 gets an A333 and the A350 on 1331/1332 continues as well.

Will AY ever consider introducing premium economy? They did consider PE, instead of a new travel class their widebodies now have around 40 Economy Comfort seats each.
