If the A340-300 is retired, what aircraft will AF operate to SXM? I know KL flies the A332, would AF do the same? AF schedules still have the A340 listed. I guess it would either be the 787 or A330 given the lower demand due to COVID. When things pick up maybe even the A350? Any thoughts? The big f...

Jump to postThe Air France website tells you if it says BEST next to the flight it means you have a new J seat.
I believe there are a few that have been delivered with old J due to the issues with Zodiac. The Caribbean fleet is also with the older business product.
A further look at Princess Juliana International after the storm. It gives you a good idea what sheer force Irma had.

I was under the impression they always operated the 777 for many years to BOM. I myself flew the 777 many times to BOM with AF. Was the switch over more recent to the A340/330? Granted I haven't flown to India since 2011 so a lot must have changed.
Jump to postThanks for the fantastic trip report. I love AF's product at the moment even though it is 3-4-3 in Economy. Did not think 2E would be manic, it is such a massive improvement from the days of connecting in the dreaded 2C. As one of the few airlines that fly to SXM from Europe I am often on AF or KL b...
Jump to postNon stop both ways Nice. IINM, this will be the first scheduled nonstop to Europe from SXM by a twinjet.... and off of a barely 7700ft runway. :o Air France & Air Caraibes both have nonstop flights to SXM with A340/30 aircraft and now joined by KLM. Arkefly I believe are also nonstop with the 7...

Jump to postAF has an internal battle with its cost structure, and in comparison to much leaner KLM needs an overhaul. It is no secret it has the highest costs in the industry.
