The Air France website tells you if it says BEST next to the flight it means you have a new J seat.

I believe there are a few that have been delivered with old J due to the issues with Zodiac. The Caribbean fleet is also with the older business product.

I was under the impression they always operated the 777 for many years to BOM. I myself flew the 777 many times to BOM with AF. Was the switch over more recent to the A340/330? Granted I haven't flown to India since 2011 so a lot must have changed.
