Read this today in an article in the International Business Times. They seem to be saying the cancellation is retalition for US government tariffs on Bombardier. Thoughts?

There's no lights and no instrument approach. I worked there for years as a flight instructor and never saw it used for anything except as a taxiway. 6-24 is the preferred pavement at isp.

So the cavalier gate agent laughs when someone suggests higher compensation? He/she trys to save United an few hundred bucks but ends up costing United millions of dollars. Can't make this up if you tried.

Sadly I'm not surprised this sort of thing goes on in the US. Starting from the top down too many employees here have contempt for thier customers. I can't imagine BA Lufthansa Singapore or Cathay treating their customers with such a lack of dignity.

Recently flew EWR - HKG in a 777-300ER than HKG - SGN in an A-350. Both legs were in coach. Once inside it was really hard to tell the difference between the two A/C .
