Re: Is there any point in trying to get photos accepted?

Many of us suffered for this situation at the beginning. As someone said before, "its not the way the picture was taken, its the way its editted". Considering you are taking aviation pictures before uploading them to the site, youve got the right technique. Now its time to improve your ski...

Re: Sony aps-c or full frame

A6600, is fast, outstanding autofocus performance, big battery, and lighter than most ff cameras. At lower ISO the noise difference between them is not so high, as most people think.

Re: settings for canon 90D

The problem is the sensor, is known it has problems dealing with "old lenses", remember it has way more pixels than previous models.

Re: Post-screening questions

Hello, This one got rejected for needing CCW rotation, but I'm wondering how to determine when the photo is level or not. There are no obvious vertical objects and it was not taken perpendicular to the runway, so I'm not sure what to use as a reference. Any suggestions or tips? https://imgproc.airl...

Re: Nikon Issue While Panning

The paning technique is related primarily with the movement of the object. For example, if an aircraft is rotating on the runway, you will see two movements: one is the aircraft rolling on the runway, and the other one is the aircraft nose lifting off the pavement, so those diifferent motion are ver...

Re: 70-200MM Canon Lens Under $1000

Sigma 100-400 contemporary (about 650 new, 400 or so used) is a way better choice for wildlife and plane spotting. A lot of the pictures from my database were taking with these lens and a canon 70d. I use Sigma 100-400, too, on Nikon D800. Absolutely a decent telephoto lens for aircraft spotting. T...

Re: Any Experiences On The Nikon D7100

In your case is a huge upgrade but I strongly recommend to get the d7200 instead. The d7100 buffer is very tiny, at full speed and raw it only covers 1 1/2 seconds before filling the buffer. On the other hand the sensor is very good (d7200's is even better) but being a high resolution sensor I would...

Re: New camera recommendation - please help

I shoot both Sony and Canon mirrorless (as well as Canon DSLRs). I bought the Sony due to its small size and have a collection of primes for it. It does a good job but I've never been 100% satisfied with the images compared with those produced by the Canons. Canon's colour science is certainly bett...

Re: Buenos Aires Jorge Newbery AEP to be closed Aug. 1st for 4 months

Why aren't they doing this work right now instead of waiting for August 1st? The airports have been closed for months. There was plenty of time to do this work while all flights were grounded. In this airport is located the miltary apron, which is mainly used for the president for travelling. All t...

Re: Argentina and Uruguay power outage - impact?

AEP and EZE are operating as normal thanks to generators. That’s good news. I wonder how long they run for? It sounds as though all of Argentina lost all power. Quite an unusual situation really, how long to fix it will be interesting. the generators are diesel, so they´ll run until running out of ...

Re: Why were the 757 and 767 such dead-end designs?

The B764 and the B753 were designed for specific markets and customers (mostly americans) so boeing knew at the time that those aircraft will have a very short life
