I was looking for the max operating speed for the RAT on the 777. I was thinking about the partial handshake and if that was the RAT deploying and breaking loose from the airframe. I found some items about what it powers and what deploys it but not max speeds. Thank you for any input.

When does the clock start for an aircraft like this being delayed? Do the compenents get a few months free ride or is it counting against the life as soon it is out of the door? Sub question, are hours of use more important than time duration?

Look at their speed. It seems winds are favorable. If you see aircraft going the opposite direction at ~400kts you can bet winds are the main factor.
