Stats are out for March 2020 and unsurprisingly everything is down significantly. One thing that wasn't interestingly is domestic departures for IAD. It was actually up 6% (426 in 2020 vs. 399 in 2019 for March). Both saw pax numbers decrease by more than 50% year over year. https://www.mwaa.com/sit...

Re: Southwest Airlines planning on squeezing competitors in weaker positions

This is very smart. COVID has provided opportunity to make major moves (fleet overhauls/retirements, route adjustments, etc.). I wonder if WN is also buying as much fuel as possible right now given prices. They should try to kill off F9 and NK (either buying them or driving them out of business). In...

As noted in numerous other threads, business and travel articles, a lot of 50 seat jet flying will be gone. These are not football adds. Usually the added flights for football add fractionally to monthly frequency. Also, there is often one off flights to destinations near the visiting teams campus. OO has a maintenance base at SBN that can work on all their CRJ 200/700 and 900 aircraft. The increase in SBN-ORD flights appear to begin in August and while most are operated by 50 seaters, Skywest is operating one flight with an E175. Apologies if this has been discussed, but I would agree that the market for anything above 220ish seats is already covered by the 787 and 777. IAD had 20,788,659 thru October 2019. DCA had 20,022,215 thru Oct 2019. You were using the DCA Nov-Oct number for DCA and the DCA Jan-Oct number for IAD.
