IAD running 30 arrivals today with strong west winds. LH 748 landed on 30 but Qatar Airlines managed to land on 1R. Wind at one point 310 at 37!

This is all unfortunate. SBN and FWA will be losing all but one, SBN-DTW and FWA-PHL, flight a day for east coast connecting opportunities. Now you will have to connect out of the way (ORD, CLT, ATL) to get to cities like New York, Boston and Washington. Doesn’t make it very attractive for business...

How many places are served by a single CR2 flight? If small towns have two or more flights, they will be consolidated on 70 seaters or planes like the A220 as possible. A return to routes like the Alaska milk run with mainline jets also seems like a reasonable solution. And, increased EAS payments. ...
