Re: Shocking Catering - Etihad 787-9 Hong Kong to Abu Dhabi (EY833) in economy

The benchmark is Emirates. EY is introducing a bunch of cost-cutting "innovations" that will simply chase more people away. Most people will now go for EK with their superior and consistent product (though FZ codeshares sometimes ruin that) or QR with their very strong route network. Not ...

Re: Today's equivalent of the Canon 350D?

Thanks. I guess it comes down to budget. I hadn't expected the 100-400L to jump in price so much. I think I got my first one for just over £1k. So I reckon £500 max for a camera would be the most I could afford.

Today's equivalent of the Canon 350D?

I haven't owned a DSLR since I had the 350D and the 100-400L . I see the lens has really shot up in price to over £2k.

Can someone please tell me what camera would be best to replace my old Canon?

Thanks in advance.

Very hot. I did the jet ski tour but didn't go in the ocean. Too many sharks lol.

From Manchester To Sydney And The Whitsundays

Hi all, Back in November last year we visited family down under in Sydney. The trip was for 23 nights with 5 of those nights being spent on a short trip up to Hamilton Island where I have never been before. The whole holiday was more or less the trip of a lifetime. Hamilton Island was indeed the hig...

Interesting way to get from Perth to the UK. Couldn't you have just flown Emirates?

LHR-ICN-SYD Asiana Biz Class Jun'11 - Smartium

I started to read the report with great excitement and was really gutted when I scrolled down and the majority of pics don't show up. Anyway, as you say it is a rather different way to travel to Oz from the UK. I'd be interested in knowing how much it costs compared to Etihad or Emirates. And how lo...

So you went on a 6 hour flight there and back for "an intimate lunch" ? Sounds a bit drastic lol.

During the 1870s, William Giles and William Gosse were the first white explorers to this region. Being a regular visitor to this trip report forum I wanted to share a recent trip. It began on a cold Novenber morning.
