Thanks Harry, I appreciate you taking the time. I still struggle a bit to see it and I wonder if you had to do this to see it, is it missing the point. No way can I see it on the "original". Are they not screening the photo as presented?

Only my opinion but I like them. Not over sharpened or over saturated which appears, to me at least, to be the trend these days. In low light it's harder to beat the rules of physics.

I recently had two shots accepted by a "screener in training" which was good news. Unfortunately the photos are not visible in the data base. I sent an email to the screeners but have had no result. The more screeners the better but I wish they answered emails. I hope my case is an exception but it ...

RE: Interesting Combination

There are plenty of "back lit" photos in the database. As there are other photos that don't meet the "rules/guidelines" I saw one recently that was badly off centre but was highlighted. Most of the time I don't understand why but it's not my database so I roll with the punches. I think this a decent...

Darren, I only mentioned the oversharpening as an aside, we can't see it on three different computers but it may be a monitor thing. It has no more sharpening than any of my other shots. One rejection reason was that the sky is darker at the top than the bottom. Well at that time of the evening it is darker as you look up. I have some where the stars are becoming visible at the top of the frame. What would the solution be without Photoshopping? <a href="http://www.airliners.net/addp...

Dazbo...If it was rejected for heat haze then the heat haze is what should be apparent. You have said you can't see it. It wasn't rejected for oversharp which was previously corrected. If it was rejected for a specific reason that is what we should see. I don't see the heat haze either FWIW.

Yes those wheels and tyres are most important. We may not be able to see that they are flat on the bottom. To my way of thinking it has nothing to do with motive because you have no choices and have not cropped the bottoms of the wheels out of the photo. Motive implies a deliberate choice to frame a...

The point is though it was rejected for different reasons each time, the first time only for dirty. If it was me I would think that was the only problem, not that it was not salvagable. Dirty is not usually hopeless. If it can't be fixed, they should say so. That would stop a lot of confusion.

If I had to say...it would be the top of the fuselage and the winglet. The top of the fuselage may look soft due to the sky's reflection on the white paint. Ironically when I look at it I think the titles look a tad oversharp. I'd keep it if it was mine though.
