Jump to postThere is indeed a pilot shortage, but it was created by the airlines. I know one person who flew ExpressJet with the promise of flying mainline UA. Jump to postI wonder if WN regrets getting rid of their 717s they got with AirTran. Would have been a cool to see a tailjet in WN colors. At that time WN didn't have the software configured appropriately for efficient maintenance of a 2nd fleet type. Nor training. Core strengths are also core rigidities, compa...

Jump to postI haven't seen anyone talk about it, but is anything being done to sanitize aircraft potentially carrying infected passengers? Surely, simply spraying a can of Lysol in the cabin isn't going to resolve this. It made me think since Kalitta Air was used to bring US passengers back and ANA is being use...

Reality is that that the low prices now would be the Basic Economy fare and raise the prices of economy.
I fly the MD-88s/90s whenever I get a chance via Delta. Nothing like the roar of power. Also, I prefer them and the 717 in a storm versus their 320s.

Passengers should be weighed. The accuracy of the CG calculation (and thus the safety of the fight) is more important than anyone feeling "fat shamed". Weighing all passengers takes an enormous amount of time (and money) but will not improve safety. As far as I know, not a single flight h...

Jump to postJust a thought from my travels in Europe and with regards to KLM's recent comments of flying less for the environments sake. Could not airlines accommodate passengers through Europe's extensive high speed rail? If it'll be days to get a flight out, has this ever been an option?

I highly doubt it will ever happen, but I'd love to see a MD-11 in an Amazon livery.

Jump to postI fly Delta a ton for work and always enjoy my 717/MD88/MD90 flights. For some reason and probably more mental, I feel they handle turbulence better than the 737/A319/A320/A321s if they had to fly the same leg. Plus, I've had better luck getting 717 pilots to do high power static takeoffs!
