Two birds in one day...Thanks for the update.Jump to post
TAP have been flying LIS-GRU-LIS nearly daily with the the A330neo since December 15th. Just wonder if someone amongst us a.nutters has been on one of those flights. If so, is the cabin really super quiet? What about the flex cabin? Super passenger experience?

Will she fly to her new home LIS today?Jump to post
Well replied, tinpusher007. I couldn't agree more.Jump to post
When is the first A330-900 going to be delivered to TAP?Jump to post
Very strange indeed. Don't believe it. By the way: Where on earth is KarelXWB?Jump to post
Hi there. The HiFly A380 9H-MIP had - as far as I can tell - a good utilisation during the Summer. It flew many times between LGW and JFK (and back) and then CDG-RUN and back. The last time on the 17th September. On the 27th, it travelled to CHR and then to BYJ, where it has been sitting (possibly f...Jump to post

As dr1980 wrote, it's unbelievable that 20 years have past since SR111 crashed. I remember hearing the news on the radio. Time flies... I was still flying in those days and I still flew till 2006. As far as I remember, the pilots did everything "by the book", and that's why they never made...Jump to post
Another aspect: which pilots are flying this bird? IMO they could fly at any other airline who is driving the A380, especially EK who chronically lack pilots, and must not fly for HiFly - I am nearly sure they earn less money and their working conditions are worse than those that have established a...Jump to post
Interesting. As a private pilot I flew to VSE many years ago, the infrastructure is good enough for general aviation, there is a VOR, I had a good meal at the restaurant, but an alternative to OPO? Not unless significant and very costly investments make such a project viable, IMHO.Jump to post

Next flight should be MIA - LISJump to post
Apart from that, these route proving flights carry lots of invited passengers like aviation journalists, etc.Jump to post
TAP on tour to Asia?? Or just the model, not TP one? Yes and no! I think Airbus is flying the first customer A330-900 in TAP colors on the tour. The plane will be delivered to TAP later this summer. Absolutely right. Although, according to TAP's CEO, it's going to be November/December until she is ...Jump to post

IMHO there is also one more reason for Portuguese isn't an official language, the two varieties of Portuguese European and Brazilian can be so far removed from each other that it isn't obvious for a non-native speaker to understand what the other speaker is saying even more so than Spanish. Absolutely right. It's within the range of the "normal" A321N.Jump to post
I remember clearly that when AC disclosed their 2017 annual results (few weeks ago), this part of adding more A333s was also revealed by them and one member on this forum on that thread, clearly stated that these were ex SQ birds. The ex-SQ aircraft also have the Trent 700 EP2 (enhanced performance...Jump to post
I guess Porto, Portugal (OPO), must be on TOP 3: +10,7 million passengers in 2017.
Absolutely. The taxiway only goes about halfway down the runway. Quite a bummer when the airport is operating in LVO and rwy 17 is the active rwy...

Purely from a passenger point of view, a switch from an A340 to a 777 is a retrograde step and I hope they don't do it. Agree. Fully. The A343 is so MUCH NICER to fly on than any 777. Period. Absolutely. Flew LHR-BOS recently in a BA777. Awful. Very noisy cabin. Back on VS A346 - What a difference!...Jump to post
She surely looks great. Look forward to seeing her in the air.Jump to post
The start of operations of CS-TVA is now essentially dependent on certification by ANAC, which could take several weeks as this is the first A320 to be certified in Portugal.
That I find odd. The A320neo was certified by both FAA and EASA. Is ANAC anything better / more competent to certify ...Jump to post
