Re: Latam and Azul codeshare agreement in Brazil

I could be wrong but this could be the first step for AD to somehow acquire LATAM Brazil. Would of course face an uphill battle within Brazil's regulatory agencies but makes way too much sense for all players involved.

Re: Updated: LATAM files for Bankruptcy

The LATAM/AA JV was agreed apparently by the Brazilian Government but the Chilean one threw a spanner on it. Then it approved the JV with Delta. The Brazilian Government seems to have provided a rescue package for LATAM (Brasil only... I presume...) but the Chilean Government did nothing so far. DL...

Re: Can Boeing make a great come back in 2020?

Yeah. It's bizarre to see just how many people here want Boeing to go bust. No one wants Boeing to go bust. We just want to see the Max disappear. It's bad enough that software problems can cause airplane crashes. The world doesn't need an upgraded aircraft, it needs a completely new design. Exactl...

Re: Can Boeing make a great come back in 2020?

Not sure, am amazed at how A.net cheers every problem at Boeing. Another A vs B battle (and of course A is far better - B is BAD). Boeing will take a number of months more to get the MAX RTS, the 777X will have its first flight soon. New programs are shelved until further notice, will come back onc...

Re: Which (if any) civilian aircraft programs are profitable for Boeing at present

I'll never understand why so many people want either Boeing or Airbus to fail. It's a teenage behavior. BTW, Boeing is still doing just fine and, as someone said earlier, commercial aircraft are just one small piece of what Boeing does. Aviation is a hard game. The 787 and the MAX had their share of...

LA may launch GRU-DOH

LA announced today, alongside a few new international routes out of LIM, that they are exploring the possibility of starting their own GRU-DOH flight in a codeshare with QR.
