Are you implying guyana isnt safe? ;) I was expecting that question. Since 2002 the crime has become worse in Guyana. While in Suriname I was out and about at 2 am and everywhere seemed alive and vibrant. In Guyana that vibrant night life has been curtailed. in guyana most places close earlier than...

Jump to postI could not even believe the asinine nonsense I read from that official, because BW did operate a couple of repatriation flights to PBM during the pandemic. They even helped out PY in June last year to GEO-MIA when the airline has its 73Gs repossessed. He knows in the current state that PY cannot c...
Jump to postEither way the way their CAA guy talks is ridiculous and TTCAA should restrict PY from operating into POS until there they have their act together. I believe that the airlines are seeing normal behavior from pax as people are CARES act and other benefits are ending and flights/networks are coming b...
Jump to postAnyone know what’s going on with GUY arrivals. Saw AA diverted last night to BGI and B6 to POS and then SJU. Just saw this morning the CAL flight from BGI to OGL also diverting to POS. Weather radar seemed ok last night and today so not sure what’s up. Not sure what happened in GEO for those divers...
Jump to postI was wondering why CAL doesn’t register an airline in Guyana. I am not sure how they operate in Jamaica. Maybe with the Jamaican government owning shares in the airline they can originate and terminate flights in Jamaica. With Guyana on the upswing maybe they can begin and end flights in Guyana, a...
Jump to postNoticed BW’s first Max, originally 9Y-CAL has had the registration replaced with N60668. Hoping this is just temporary for testing etc and not a sign that BW isn’t taking delivery of her. I read somewhere that airlines/owners make progress payments before painting. If true, depending on when that p...
Jump to postAA has changed to the MAX from Sept 7/8 out of GEO. I tried to buy a ticket this week from JFK to GEO and BWs fare was higher than both B6 and AA and flights were sold out afterwards. BW seems to be holding its own against the two US based airlines. Maybe someone can tell us of the loads.

Flew AA to MIA yesterday. Just from observation, so not scientific, there were about 20% Spanish speaking pax and another 20% white expats. The rest were Guyanese. It was a full flight.
Jump to postJetBlue ran 2 flights back to back GEO-JFK Saturday night with AA doing MIA- GEO-JFK and the other flight doing JFK-GEO-MIA. That makes both JFK-GEO and GEO-JFK red eye flights and criss crossing each other. GEO-MIA is an early morning flight so pax can connect to onward flights and the MIA -GEO an...

Jump to postTo say that "Guyanese are loyal to BW" is a joke. Until recently Guyanese had a choice of rinky dink charters or BW, so BW had a near monopoly. Now AA and B6 are in the market, and both are now ahead of BW in market penetration. JFK is by far the largest source of travel into GEO. MIA wil...

Jump to postPer Crankyflier, B6 has dropped JFK-GEO for January/February. I find their service on the route to be extremely strange. Jump to postI think that the grounding of the 737 MAX planes was a major reason behind AA reducing POS to 2 daily from 3 this summer.
