Thanks for sharing the nice trip report. Indeed the charter for Johannesburg is of course related to the world cup.
Liked a lot your description of the terminal at Ezeiza. Indeed it is a collage from different time periods including the 1978 world cup up to know!

An area that is not touristic but full of life is Belgrano. You can reach it with metro line D, stop Juramento. You you explore away from the busy Avenida Cabildo, the main square with the church, on weekends there is a artisanal/flea market and are terraces around and ice cream parlors. The streets...Jump to post
Thanks for the report and enjoy Argentina.
The Claridge is a very old hotel, 'old world' style. Their bar next to the entrance was very famous in the city at a time for their cocktails.
Thank you Ricariza for the nice trip report and the pictures from Medellin.Jump to post
Funny that KLM was two years ago trying to punish in a way the Dutch people who would fly from Brussels, Cologne or Dusseldorf (instead of directly from Schiphol) that tried to profit from the lower fares offered in comparison to the Dutch website. And now they try to capture part of that potentiall...Jump to post

Back in the early 1990's Aerolineas Argentinas replaced the Boeing 707 on its run to Panama with the MD88. The route was Buenos Aires-Guayaquil-Bogota-Panama. I don't remember if the sector to Guayaquil was nonstop, probably not, so they landed perhaps in Lima? Air Aruba also flew from Aruba to Sao ...Jump to post

Thanks! really enjoyed your trip report.
Brings also great memories of past trips in the 1980s through Galeao. Terminal 1 looks the same as then, the check-in counters, halls, etc. Are the PA still made by the lady with sensual voice (Iris)?
Hello, I had the chance to fly with Vueling, a few times already and can say it is one of my favourite airlines. Quality, cordial service, on-time, and attention for small details. In my own opinion there is no comparison to Iberia, which I found on the bottom in terms of onboard service/attitude (i...Jump to post
Calafate grew a lot on the past two decades. Perhaps the markings you saw belong to the former Lago Argentino airport, the airfield that served the city before the opening of the new airport. This base used to be served by Lade's F27 and Twin Otters.
Thank you very much for the trip report. Very nice photos. Sorry to hear the inconcenience about withdrawing money when arrriving in Argentina. Pity but again the company provides a good service, realiable in terms of times and their inflight crews are probably one of the best points. Thank you! and also for the tip! appreciated.
My friend (girl, haha) (mi amiga) is going to work for a development agency. So will be stationed in Nampula. Happy to hear the positive feedback from Mozambique, she is indeed very excited.
Thanks a lot for such an interesting report from a region quite unknown to me!
Have you heard of anything about carrier Air Corridor?
A girlfriend of mine is going to live for a while in the north of Mozambique (Nampula) and was asking about this airline.
Thanks for your thorough trip report. I have flown the same route twice in the past two years.
