[quote="dfwking"]Does anyone know if UA uses tails stands on their MAX 9 fleet?[/quote
We don’t use tailstsnds on the Max 9’s.
Only the 900/ 900ER’s. That could change at some point, but since we got the Max’s we’ve been told that we don’t need to use the stands

Interesting sight at ORD today, a 777-300ER gate C29. I saw a 787 there yesterday, however I have never seen a widebody there before that. Is this common or is this a result of the pandemic and some of the widebodies added to domestic routes? Wide bodies have gone into C29 for years. It’s not ideal ...
Jump to postHi Jay, The cargo flights go to the Cargo building if gates aren’t available. The north ramp isn’t used for that. I haven’t heard if we will be working Air Canada.
Jump to postI wonder if they'll be able to install the articulating cargo loading system we have in all the other narrow-bodies. With the length of that airplane I would think it essential. I'm sure they'll never use or buy the cans like Air Canada uses. Strfyr51, the company has decided to remove the nesting ...
Jump to postThe picture has a tail number of N605_X, N605UX is ExpressJets 5th E-175. So what is the complete number of the CRJ-550? Somethings not right
Jump to postUnited has been flying to St. Thomas seasonally for years out of O’Hare. Also last year was the first year St.Lucia was added. I’m sorry I don’t have the dates it operated. I don’t see it planned this year ( i only checked several dates though). St.Thomas does come back later this year.

Jump to postActually its over 60 ZW CRJ’s that will be rejoining the UAX fleet. The 40 number must be what is being added in 2018. ZW started transitioning back to UA from AA in 2017 (Sept I believe). I believe their last planes leave the Eagle side in Feb?
Jump to postAs others have said this is a belt attached to the side of a passenger loading bridge at O'hare. It is used to get carry on bags that are gate checked to and from the ramp. In this case the bags are going down the belt, to be placed into that cart, then moved to the cargo pit. The belt has an electr...
Jump to post301UA-399UA were our 737-300's (as well as 201UA &202UA). If it does turn out to be 2331 this does line up better to the PMUA way of doing things. We used 4 digit aircraft numbers. The first digit is the aircraft type (2=777,4=airbus,5=757,6=767,8=747) The second digit was the subfleet code, and...

Jump to postBoeing 778, You are part of the problem on this site. Your profile says your 21-25. If that's true you never worked for Bethune. Yet you stick up for him and Continental like you did. Oh well, it's edited now. But funny for several minutes.

Can they just change the leading digit on the 757-300 to 5 instead of 3? So A/C 3851 would become 5851. Or are the maintenance systems still used only able to use a three digit number on S-CO planes?
Jump to postNorthwestEWR, thanks for your honesty. That is exactly the point I was trying to make.
Jump to postRDUDDJI, your right. Passengers care about cheap fares. But a passenger can only be inconvenienced once or twice before they say I'm never flying this airline again. Not that that doesn't happen at a mainline station. But management needs to take control. Hold everyone responsible. Whether it's a ma...

I guess they plan on having less than 49 788's. With orders and options I believe it showing a total of 54. I know options can be used on any series.
