Re: United New Route Announcement 9/9/2020

I am going to say another Tel Aviv (either LAX, IAH, or DEN). By the end of October, with the exception of SFO remaining sub daily, they will have an almost complete schedule to TLV. With the ORD launch that will come later this week, they seem to be going all in on that market. Now, could they lau...

Re: Chicago Aviation Thread - 2020

QF's entire long-haul fleet in 2021 will be 11 or so 787-9s. Chicago won't happen. Qantas doesn't even expect to resume LAX until mid-2021. United's TLV service is temporary. It's a cargo flight that they will sell tickets on. Considering how successful UA has been with TLV, don't be shocked if you...

I still suspect as someone who works in the Jewish world but also knows #AvGeeks ORD-TLV will happen, but no more MCO or LAS ever again to TLV... LY needs to go to business markets only.

And if UA makes ORD work, which I think it will, you know LAX-TLV would be next for LY to worry about.

Someone just posted in the El Al thread that UA has officially set a 3x weekly ORD-TLV flight starting in September. I think DFW-TLV makes United respond. They may have ignored LY's ORD-TLV but they can't ignore AA. Expect a counter announcement from ORD (more likely) or IAH.
