Never knew MH had MEX based cabin crews, very interesting. I believe the route was dropped shortly after 9/11. Did these crews only work the KUL-LAX segment or did they go all the way to KUL?

Those Mexican crew were also assigned to fly KUL-JNB-CPT-EZE . so i guess they go all the way to KUL

Re: Malaysia Airlines retrofits Airbus A380 fleet for Hajj flights

Tellingly this pilgrimage fleet will be operated in a stand-alone unit separate from MAS. An effective way to shield MAS from losses from the operations. MAS did something similar action in past. If I'm not mistaken, the last Boeing 747-4H6 ,9M-MPQ for MAS was configured @ refurbished with high-den...

is it currently being used only for LHR-KUL?

for scheduled flight, yes, those A380 only fly for the 2x daily KUL-LHR .
MH already signed agreements with local travel agencies for Umrah charter contract.
and the surplus A380 is doing those charter flights for routes KUL-JED and KUL-MED respectively

Re: The Honolulu-South East Asia market questions

Main tourist attraction of Hawaii is the beaches. There are plenty of beautiful beaches here in Southeast Asia. Reachable within a less than four hour flight. Moreover, citizens of Southeast Asian countries (ASEAN) don't need a visa to visit another ASEAN country. Add a few more hours of flight the...
