Just read that Swiss police will now buy antilaser eyewear with emergency services to follow so why not make all windshields laserproof to protect flight crews?
The technology must exist because if it can be used on eyeware why not windshields?

So what about B777 & B787: Laws, Modes or Conditions?
Modes only on FBW Boeings?

Lack of sleep: initially, I thought that could have been a contributory factor but in panic and facing a certain death, you can be

In case of airspeed indication failure, the B788 has something new, "Synthetic Airspeed". If case of indicator failure, a computer produces synthetic airspeed based on the planes AOA, the coefficient of life, and the airplane weight. If indicated speed provided via the pitot tubes is in disagreement...

Vanity Fair: Most of what he recounts in technical detail, is accurate. His analysis of the final human cause is tragically correct. I do differ with him in his final lament that today's young pilots are simply not as capable in a stick-and-rudder sense as were the aviators of the piston and early j...

Has anyone ever seen ALT 1A / ALT1B / ALT2A / ALT2B in any AFM, FCTM, QRH?
It was the BEA that lexcially subdivided and dissected these submodes.
I believe that only ALT flashes up on the ECAM.
An open attitude, no hang-ups and nothing to hide on pages 18-19.
