Was driving through Waco on Oct 22 and was certain I saw a Predator drone landing at TSTC Waco. Are they training drone pilots there or was this something else? Hoping someone might know.

Does FlightAware or Flightradar 24 track any supersonic flights today using ADS-B? I assume that all supersonic flights that remain after the Concorde are now military flights.

Jump to postThanks for the replies. The Tu-204 obviously isn't copy, just look at the cockpit, so don't take me literally. However, it does appear to be inspired by the 757. Would still love to see a picture of two parked next to each other.
Jump to postAnyone ever get a picture of a Tupolev Tu-204 next to a 757-200, side-by-side? Would be interesting to see how they stack up next to each other. Always fascinated by planes that were copies or inspired by another.

Jump to postWith the hail damage on the Delta 747 flight going into Beijing a few weeks ago, makes you wonder how diligent the Chinese ATC is with weather routing. Delta had a total hull loss and now a brand new 787 is damaged.

Jump to postCould the pilot load an alternate flight number into the transponder system while he was over water and away from radar to simulate another airplane? Jump to postOn a 777, how long will the CVR continue before being overrun? If the plane flew 4 hours past its disappearance, is possible that we will never hear what happened in the cockpit because the CVR recorded over itself.

Jump to postAustin currently has one of the best rental care access in terms of convenience for the renter. With the new facility, its going to be a pain to either shuttle or walk to the consolidated center. Disappointing.
Jump to postThe video of the seawall and the debris is very telling. That runway will be closed for a while as they analyze the debris field. This appears to be the crux of the investigation.
Jump to postThe old Austin Mueller airport had a 7,200 ft runway and AA did fly a DC-10 there occasionally with weight restrictions. That is no longer a problem with the B-52 runway at the new Bergstron airport.

Jump to postI have flown quite a few long trips on A330s, 767s, and 777s. One thing I have noticed many times when flying the A330 is that the pilots slow down the plane in cruise when we hit turbulence. I understand this is to protect the airframe during turbulence and I get it. However, when I fly 767 and 777...
