Ansett Australia B767-200 as a kid. I used to have a neighbour who worked as a shift manager, and whenever I went to BNE he would take me onboard between turn arounds and get me swag and drinks in those mini cans. Just never got to fly on the AN B762s.

Yes IIRC it was 7 daily flights max to any where in Germany. It's actually any frequency (IIRC) to any four points in Germany. Pre-COVID EK had 10x daily flights to Germany. As others above mentioned, BAH is now a tech stop to switch crew for flights to India. Crew fly on a FRA-BAH//BAH-India-BAH//BAH-FRA rotation. All still operate with their original LH7xx numbers.

Looks like QF are sending A330's up to Darwin again for the dry season, starting later this month. SYD sees a daily A332, and BNE sees a 3x weekly A333 (going daily in July) - both on the day trip return services. When was the last time QF sent A330's to DRW? 779 doesn't have the range needed for ULH routes like SIN-JFK/EWR/LAX. Capacity and range-wise, the aircraft will be the best replacement for 77W and A380. Frequency of services comes into play a bit here too. BA would rather have more flights spaced out throughout the day, rather than just 2 or 3 per day. So the smaller aircraft makes a bit more sense in that case. Having more also helps with slot management for winter operations too.

Going on from last months thread, it looks like QF's BNE-NRT will be switching to HND from October, operating 3x weekly (with MEL-HND 4x weekly). Hopefully QF gets VA's slot and that sticks around when things start to recover! :crossfingers:

It has been a while since I’ve seen a QantasLink non-Q400 Dash 8 in Queensland. Have they moved all the -300s down south? That they have - Q400s only now for the BNE base (and CNS has been that way for a couple of years), and Q300s only for the MEL & ADL bases. SYD/CBR are the only mixed bases....

It seems that this topic, at least for a bit, is done being discussed by the Administration. If they're not going to do it now (which they shouldn't) then there's no point in doing it later on. Bringing back places like Nagoya and Surabaya; adding routes like Busan, Antananarivo, Zanzibar, Ankara and some other Central Asian points; while swapping equipment on current routes. Just speculation.
