Do you think the pilots should be forced to fly the new aircraft on less money? I bet management won't take a reduced salary or bonus due to the new aircraft.

Re: Australian Aviation Thread - November 2019

Im thinking those VA schedule reductions will only help QF/JQ and others? Dropping SYD-CHC, and reducing SYD/AKL will help EK/QF/NZ on those routes. VA Reducing SYD-TMW will assist QLink. VA cutting PER-OOL will leave JQ the only airline on the route. TT axing BNE-DRW and BNE-ADL no doubt takes the ...

I disagree...

Possible QF A321XLR routes:

*2x daily PER-SIN-PER replacing current daily A330
*Daily SYD-CGK-SYD replacing the 5x weekly A330
*DPS from SYD and MEL replacing A330/B73H
*New ADL-SIN-ADL route
*New BNE-DPS-BNE or perhaps BNE-MNL-BNE

SYD-LHR-SYD
MEL-LHR-MEL
???-SIN-LHR-SIN-???
PER-LHR-PER

Re: Australian Aviation Thread - January 2019

With EK off the BKK route and TG already reduced SYD-BKK, if QF had any spare A330 capacity, replacing JQ on the MEL-BKK could work, similar to when QF replaced JQ on the MEL- NRT.

JQ could then increase SGN flying which seems to be performing well.

Whats the chances the new SYD-NAN-SYD will be an overnight flight using s B73H that would usually be on the ground? Leaving SYD at around 9pm back at 7am would work?

SYD-JFK
PER-AKL (Year round)

Other strong future possibilities:

SYD-ICN
MEL-BKK (Replacing JQ)
PER-NRT

SYD-BOM
BNE-WLG
