JQ being sold off won't happen.

Infact QF have stated that as part of the next phase of the transformation program they are working more closely with JQ in combining systems and back of house functions, and removing some duplications to further cut costs.

The schedule season ends at the end of March 2019. I wouldn't be surprised to see the B744s continue to serve HNL with the A330s deployed elsewhere

The only slack in the fleet of 787s is around 3x weekly out of BNE which is apparently for a new USA destination.... unless they do BNE-PER-CDG? But QF have said if Paris is launched it needs to be close to a daily service to work not 3x weekly.

The international A330 schedule (excluding NZ) uses around 14 to 15 A330s a day with a bit of slack. So having 16 pure international A330s should cover all the existing flying.

VH-EBS was out of service and VH-EBD was used instead.

The ipad A332s are only used on international routes when something is broken or significantly delayed.

Looking at some of the QF schedule changes from March 25 onwards and noticed that QF117/118 switches from daily A333 to daily A332 from Sep/Oct. The actual seat map listed for those flights is 28J/237Y. I thought those A332s couldn't do HKG due to no proper crew rest?

The QF LAX/JFK schedule improves slightly from end of March next year when QF94 is timed to leave LAX 50min later.

Also the current 2hr QF93/94 turnaround in MEL will no longer happen as QF93 will operate off the back of the new A380 SIN flight giving it 4+ hrs on the ground in MEL.

My guess is the 6x weekly MEL-LAX will be trimmed back to allow the new MEL-SFO.

QF will need to operate some B789 MEL-LAX to enable the aircraft to rotate with the BNE based B789 aircraft.

I cant see LAX-JFK-LAX being reduced to 5x weekly, it needs to be daily to attract the biz traffic. Even during the GFC, and QFs own downturn JFK always remained daily. QF have already announced that 4x B789s will be BNE based, so a 3x weekly ORD and 2x weekly LAX isn't enough flying for 4x frames. ...

The problem with CDG is it doesn't allow the aircraft to be rotated with the existing BNE-LAX-JFK flights. It also doesnt help the massive short fall in seats changing from B744 to B789. Thats why my guess is another USA destination say DFW, both the LAX and DFW would arrive in BNE early in the morn...

To configure a few A332s to pure international with proper crew rest will require a decent investment of capital and would have been announced in the financial results last week.

HND switching to A380 requires both frames to operate daily.

Looks like the QF73/74 SYD-SFO-SYD has also had a time adjustment now leaving SYD later at 17:55 and leaving SFO earlier at 20:35.

This now spreads QFs SYD-USA departures throughout the day:

Ok looks like the QF schedule updates are still coming through...

QF127/128 has been retimed to leave SYD at 0930am daily using A333s

QF117/118 will be daily B744 (A380 during peek periods)

This makes more sense...
