Re: Qantas to announce ambitious plan to fly East Coast Australia to London and New York by 2022

For a Melbourne or Sydney banker/exec/consultant travelling to NY/East Coast US on business, being able to avoid LAX & the hassle of having to clear CBP, possibly change terminals, then re-clear TSA would almost be like being given an extra day back. If QF can make this work, they will be onto ...

Forget the questionable economics of such flying, it seems they are robbing humanity expecting one to be encased in a steel tube for 22-hours. To the contrary, they would be saving humanity from the hassles and indignities of transiting through another airport and helping passengers to regain aroun...

I'm a law and order kind of guy. Should smoking be allowed in lavs. Of course not. Should there be punishment. Of course. I don't have any doubt that there is a very large market for this flight. At the moment, it is extremely difficult to get to or from Sydney from or to New York, and there are many meetings which should, but don't, take place as a result. Do you think that these people should just abandon their pets when they move? I think that this will get SIA back into the game in North America, having relegated themselves to the second tier which could only get you to its home base with 2 stops (the same as most carriers) and places beyond with 3 (instead of 2 for most other carriers).
