Re: Updated: Qantas saying it is almost ready to select Project Sunrise aircraft

I understand this, however, I'm not sure how this works when a customer's bags miss the flight and then arrive on another, later flight. That is ok, it is not pre-planned. The plan was for the bags to go with you the whole way. You should not be made aware of this until after you arrived at your de...

Did enough of it survive to make re-engining from one to the other possible, even if not in the original timeframe? If so, I wonder whether GE is going to try to go after and engine replacement for the 14 789s? V/F From Luxton "He adds, however, that the carrier is still pleased with its Trent...

As the Press Release says the new batch of -10's are to replace the 777-200's and the deal with Boeing includes assurances the new aircraft will "fly missions similar to our current 777-200 fleet". I don't expect the -10 to do the US East Coast (as the 772 certainly doesn't). The message t...

Bags go with passengers, they are not split up for security reasons. The oldest 77W is 9 years, the youngest 4 years. Is now the time to make a decision on replacing them? While I don't like to see any end of era (albeit a short era), it is not unexpected. My issue with the Aircraft is not the flight experience, but the airport experience. 500 odd pax turning up all at once at check in, customs, boarding and that's just at the departure. I believe Boeing has a huge advantage being able to 'right size' either the 787 or 777 families to suit the absolute Airline application.

One size does not fit all (wide body twin requirements)
