They became my go to long haul charter carrier in the mid 00s when they refurbished they’re long haul aircraft. They were the only charter carrier offering 2-3-2 economy seating on a 767 in the Uk as opposed to 2-4-2 the others had. That with the fab 33” of legroom in standard as well as nose to tai...Jump to post
I flew this aircraft last Friday in row 25 on a short LHR-INV on my way back from DXB. I’m only 5ft 10” and can honestly say that was the most uncomfortable flight I’ve had in my life. If that is the way BA are going then I’ll take a low cost option to LHR for connecting. Incidentally i flew U2 the ...Jump to post
BA did it last year. They did not. In fact quite the opposite. BA announced and rolled out new Catering in Premium Economy, main service being hot full meal with business class food. Also upgraded the second service to a hot snack (not cold) and with options! BA’s new catering is very good. Far bet...Jump to post
CAA have put together a contingency rescue plan involving several U.K. and International Airlines, in case Thomas Cook go under. ATOL renewal date of October 1st. Eerily reminiscent of the Monarch CAA is making contingency plans for the possible collapse of Thomas Cook. While the airline can legall...Jump to post

Tui also own 49% of Riu Hotels so you can guarantee that is where a lot of the capacity in the packages will be directed to much like they do elsewhere in Mexico and the Caribbean.Jump to post
All of easyJet’s planes delivered since 2013 have had these seats with the leather coatings. I believe a fair few of the A320s had the refit as well.Jump to post
This seems like a bit of a stunt from someone who is obviously a pretty clever cookie. That said, I'd be interested in seeing what rules were actually broken. I know of no rule saying you cannot wear multiple layers of clothing. I think the word is smart**s. Doesn’t equate to clever. There was the ...Jump to post
quote from reporter...."please pray for us" How is this person allowed to even exist.. :eyepopping: :gnasher: :ashamed: :shakehead: So if you pray you're are not worthy of existence? Yet you book your customers on them
BA have been quite pro active today and already offered customers the chance to travel today instead of tomorrow or change to 20-22/12 with all fees waived. So even if the flight is not yet cancelled passengers can choose just in case. No they have not! Had they done that my customers would have ha...Jump to post
Jet2 have 8 UK bases now. LBA, MAN, NCL, EDI, GLA, EMA, BHX, and ,STN. They overtook Thomas Cook recently as the 2nd biggest UK package holiday company. At a guess I’d say they have been able to make use of bulk buying hotel rooms at better rates by arranging so many at the same time.Jump to post
I'm a travel agent and we had several reps from that area in earlier this week. The buffalo rep stated they are very confident of Norwegian announcing service from as early as next year. Any mention of Syracuse? I'm afraid not no. I was going to ask her having read this thread here and then she ann...Jump to post

The vigilante should also have been arrested, hugely dangerous move which rendered a man unconscious, under UK law that should be charged as GBH. He can plead mitigation (2 hours of A capella) but he should be charged. Have you read the story? Seems quite deserved he pushed a member of cabin crew a...Jump to post

T1 still seems to be in situ and it doesn't look as though the T2 current checkin area is getting a refresh! Wow moving walkways to gates! What a wonderful thing MAN will fin...Jump to post
As I read it the captain asked the person to come forward so that he could be sure it was a joke and get on with the flight as planned. The fact this person was so spineless to not have the balls to own up and instead put an entire flight out does in fact make them a moron deserving of a no fly list.Jump to post
If there's a ban, there's a ban. After liquids ban, you and the flying public will adjust to anything. And they'll still keep coming to the US Sounds awful but it is true. True about a few people sure. I won't. I will go so far as paying change fees for my Florida trip later this year and I'll go s...Jump to post
Compensating for costs incurred is one thing but we've created a generation of over entitledness where people think they deserve wads of compensation for every little thing. It's time there was some push back against this.Jump to post
Yeah the child is entitled to $25 dollars. This is one thing I hope brexit acheives. Doing away with rules that mean airlines pay out more in compensation than people have paid in the first place in fares.Jump to post
I'm confused then cause all the press I'd read recently over here stated a similar system to estas? Hell they are saying us brits will need them too thanks to this stupid mistake we're on path of now.Jump to post
Given EU citizens are charged 14 dollars every two years for an esta to visit the USA what is the problem with an equivalent system in reverse? They don't like it drop the ESTA fee.Jump to post

British Foreign Office has now advised against all but essential travel to The Gambia. So delaying other customers whose journeys would be possibly otherwise not delayed and putting them out is ok?
I know who I'd be more mad at in that instance and it wouldn't be vueling.
Well they are nothing to do with he royal family (sorry to burst that bubble lol). They are just part of the oldest 777's in BAs fleet with a rare high density first, GE engines, no cross aisles in club so you enter directly into the galley at Doors 2 and has a huge "ballroom" galley at t...Jump to post
Are BA reconfiguring there 777 fleet as well now. I had seats 23 A, and B reserved on an upcoming trip on what was clearly a four class 777-200 from BOS to LHR. It's now changed WTP to 3 rows numbered 18, 19, and 20 only which doesn't seem to match any seat plans for anything in BA's fleet I can findJump to post
Surely they would code share with UA on such a route, that would give the an awful lot of connections at the other end. Either way anything that improves MAN connectivity to the world is fine by meJump to post

Are they not refitting the 787 to the same spec as the TOM 787 given they are the same group with the Timco 3040 seats?
I assumed all the Tui group 788 had been delivered with same seating to improve flexibility within the group?
This frustrates me as BA has shifted more of its longhaul leisure flying to LGW, while systematically cutting domestic flying, and cutting the connections, unless you want to pay extra...Jump to post
