Re: JetBlue CEO Warns Flight Shaming Is Coming to the U.S

As an eco-conscious traveler, my personal approach is to reduce unnecessary flying however possible, and trying to use alternative forms of transportation such as bus/train and driving or carpooling. When I do fly, I also try to make a point fly on newer, more fuel-efficient aircraft such as the Boe...

Delta always held its own in the midst of AA and UA - with ATL as a fortress mega-hub all these years. Also, CO did well in the late 90's and early 2000's. I also find it interesting that the 9/11 hijackers chose AA and UA for their plans. The names are iconic and have the most symbolism, as has bee...

New Gate Numbering System at SFO

On October 16, we implemented a new and improved gate numbering system. The previous gate numbering system was a continuous numbering system across all terminals and concourses, from 1 to 102. The new gate numbering system breaks it down to specific concourses within each terminal using an alpha-num...

LAX isn’t a true connecting “hub” in the same sense as ATL or ORD or MSP, etc. It’s more like a glorified focus city for the big 4 airlines, with it being the second largest city in the US, LAX is in a unique position. I don’t see much changing there, either. It will always be a good jumping point t...

The old Frontier and Continental once had hubs at Denver Stapleton airport in the 1980's and prior. Continental was once the largest carrier in DEN, even larger than UA for a brief time.
