It seems to me like airline logos/ paint schemes were a lot more distinctive and much more of a variety back in the 1980s. Now everything is mostly Euro-white with a few exceptions.

It makes me wonder what would become of DFW, CLT, DCA, and MIA in the event of AA going out of business. It seems unlikely, but I never say never nowadays. No airline is safe. Demand isn't coming back anytime soon.

In my opinion, UA really missed the boat by letting WN build up in DEN the way they did from 2006 onward. Now, no matter how big UA gets in DEN, they will always have WN (and F9 to a lessor extent) to contend with. The 700 daily departures build-up in DEN should of happened much sooner. DFW, ATL, MS...

I can't see there being enough demand for AS to re-start these routes to a remote part of Russia. Plus, US-Russia relations are not good right now. I'd be at least somewhat leery of travelling to Russia.

I really hate to see all these airlines get gobbled up! Virgin and jetBlue and Alaska are all great products. I would prefer to see them stand alone and able to compete on their own with the majors.
