I am still deeply shocked by this sad news. I missed the chance to meet Patrick in person, but through emails, I could feel his kindness and his love of flying. Patrick is also a great mentor on the screen team, I learned so much from his wholehearted help. It certainly a great loss for A.net and th...

Hi Ivan, first one the crop looks fine to me; second one does seem a bit oversharpened; not sure about the third one, looks grainy, depends on how rare this a/c in the DB, the age might be considered.

Generally, as Ivan rightly pointed out, it is a lot more difficult to get images accepted at >1500 size. Myself have maybe 5 pictures here at that kind of size. My most uploads are at 1200, many are smaller than that. I did not go through every picture OP posted, but the first one (Tu-95) was way be...

RE: Pre-screen/question About Double Rule

If your images shows the progress of the painting job, taken on different days, they will be fine with the "double" rule. About this night shot, those lights in background are distracting, that is what I don't like, it is backlit too. But you can put it in the queue, see if will pass.

Andrew, it is pretty good for the first try, although I think it will not make it. Two problems mostly, it is a bit distant, you could crop it more tightly leaving less dead space on both side (also 3:2 ratio would work better for this one too); plus the aircraft looks quite soft/blurry, I feel it i...

AA 777 is soft and a bit weak contrast, smaller size should help.

LAN 787 is a bit too bright.

SA 737 parts are soft, title looks oversharpened, but this one might be passable, not the other two.

Let me quote, "The minimum size for an image is 1000 x 667 pixels". Your image of 619X810 is below the minimum size, that is why it was rejected for size.

All appear dark, grainy, soft/blurry; first one also low in the frame, fourth one has a distracting tower. Not sure you can fix them. For beginners, the best chance is use small size images to try, something like 1000 or 1024.

Since you already invested a lot in Canon, I would say stay with them, also Nikon does not really offer more in their product line right now, the built in flash is not that useful, I tried it once in a cockpit and got bad reflections from those screens.

Not excited, rather disappointed actually. The correct name for this body should be D620 or D650. It needs the D700 built, 8pfs, deeper buffer, round eye-piece... to be a real D700 replacement. I don't really care about tile screen, 4K video and wifi.
