Absurd. It would be more proactive to ban alcohol sales in the terminal vending, but that simply isn't going to happen.

Worked for B6 for 7 years when they were the hip new airline. Good times indeed, but it's not the same culture I remember.

That being said, I still prefer to fly B6 whenever possible.

The problem with single-pilot ops is that it's a full job on take-off and landing to be pilot monitoring and trying to handle radios and vectors, and run checklists, trying to manage radios and fly under a nonemergency situation would almost certainly result in fatalities. Hopefully with these new flights, F9 will put more pressure on their ramp contractor to add more staff and prioritize better. They're often unable to handle more than 1 flight at a time, and we often get called about angry passengers waiting an hour for bags.

Not always the case. When I worked ramp we would park a cart next to the slide as on some flights we would get 50+ gate checks.

I don’t see PHX to NRT anytime soon. LAX and DFW are each an hour to hour and a half away and they both have 2 flights to Tokyo each. I think PHL to NRT is more likely.
