I can think of at least 4 reasons: - Denmark and Sweden are *extremely* expensive places to visit and do business. Nope, the aircraft being pushed restricts it. It takes 9 men (3 on each main gear, 2 on nose wheel, plus dispatcher/walker) to push a Sukhoi Superjet, 12 for a CRJ (6 per wing). The SK LCY flight was around 2006 I believe. The BA flight came later around 2011 and operated until 2016. At one point SAS operated LCY-CPH (with Q400), LCY-ARN with RJ70 and LCY-OSL with RJ70. The BA route wasn't unprofitable and even went up to three times daily but was axed to launch Dublin fiv...

Hmmm, won't this be a huge leap in capacity? i mean the A320 NEO sits 180 pax and if they take out the 736s and 737-700s the next smaller airplane is the CRJ-900 which seats 90 pax..From 90 to 180 is a huge gap.. There are some domestic and european thin routes, esp. in winter for which the A320 is...

The Swedes announced a while ago that they would at best retain but more likely reduce their share.
Very slim chance that the Danes will pick up the Norwegian parts.
LH was hours away from acquiring SAS back in 2008. Meanwhile, SAS has become profitable. Maybe time to close the deal?
