True, you get the same snacks, but the drinks are included and the bigger point is that someone can now book and price out an entirely C+ itinerary anywhere DL flies. Perhaps a gimmick but it's adds perceived value.

IFE is free. And why these two routes? They are the tightest and most competitive routes in the US. While market share is desireable (and it matters), but Delta is really driving our Net Promoter Score. This is a big part of what's driving the change. There has been no loss of PS. The retirement plan is typical now. I'd hardly sneeze at 9% of my pay being GIVEN to me for my plan.

C12, C13 and C14 can take mainline aircraft as well. DL does not generally use them for mainline but AA sometimes does. My last 5:00 AM AA MD80 flight to O'Hare flight left from C13. I guess it comes down to whether it is a Delta policy to require credentials. At most carriers, F/As are required to question credentials, and will ask for a license or business card. Why did the FA not ask the white man who claimed he was a doctor for his credentials? We don't know that she didn't...
