MTH was cut by US in early 1998, according the excellent SunshineSkies website. APF lasted until June of 2003. That's about the time the new terminal was built, no? And I think that was Florida Gulf at the time- Mesa had a handful of 1900 operators and mushed them all into Air Midwest I think (Libe...Jump to post

With all due respect, there is way more pressing issues for the industry now … like staying in business. Come to PBI - it has the same exact problem. Many of the excess rental cars have been moved to the paved long-term parking area, but there are hundreds more still parked on a grass lot adjacent to the airport. Unfortunately, that is probably the case at most Florida airports.. here in SFB, we have ...Jump to post

Spirit adding frequencies to ACY, but no new destinations
Does anyone think NK or possibly another carrier could expand in ACY soon? This summer they avg about 10-11 flights a day but I still believe some routes are underserved including TPA and RSW. While I’m not an expert on technical stats I was under the impression that the A220 which Breeze will eventually fly would be able to use a 6,000 ft runway and fly transcon. I think ACY could benefit greatly from another carrier such as DL to ATL or AA to CLT. TTN is in interest to Breeze according to the investor presentation. Isn't a big part of this that Spirit will not even check in a passenger less than 45 minutes before departure. If so it will help the airline look good, but if you've stood in line for a half-hour and you get to the counter at 44 minutes before your flight - that might really stink for passengers. ...Jump to post
