As always, thanks for this!!!
AGC is Allegheny County Airport by Pittsburgh
As always, thanks for my favorite Sunday morning read..
I think VC is done.. haven't seen their a/c move from the SFB hangar in a long time.. according to flightaware, it has been over 2 weeks since anything has been airborne for them

UA never should have added ORD and IAH, IAD was clearly the better choice. IAD would have easily allowed for more connections to leisure destinations. This is why DL and ATL could also work. DL did ATL out of ACY and it didn't do well, but part of the issue was they overpriced it compared to PHL.. ...Jump to post

footprinylt in the southwest. VIAairways is based in Sanford so Florida connection would be a plus for merger
Isn't a big part of this that Spirit will not even check in a passenger less than 45 minutes before departure. If so it will help the airline look good, but if you've stood in line for a half-hour and you get to the counter at 44 minutes before your flight - that might really stink for passengers. ...Jump to post
VC (via air) no longer services CLT.... so the information loaded is an error. This just recently happened. Ill miss them there.... I loved their service to UST (st. augustine) , but now that airport is empty. But for CLT its reduced down to zero. Cuts are significant across the board with VC and t...Jump to post
I think one that comes to mind with me is the Allegiant emergency landing in FAR (2015 IIRC) , when the airport had been NOTAM closed for airshow purposes. Apparently, they did not have enough fuel to proceed to an alternate airportJump to post
brings Via to a total of 7 destinations now out of SFB.. I am not sure if TLH is on the E145 or the E120

Good to see JAX finally get NK... I was always surprised they were not there already. Kind of surprised they did not do a JAX-FLL for the int'l connections like they do with MCO and TPA
HPN is a joke It is, but doesn't need to be. It's in a similar position to London Luton. Similar size, similar distance to the city center, etc. And just admit, Luton isn't doing so bad. I'd say it's an airport with future potential. If only they dare to think bigger than their current size, look a...Jump to post
Does anyone have any info on what and when the last MD-80 flights will be yet? I was on a flight a couple of summers ago (probably 2 years ago) from SYR-PHL on a dash-8, the air conditioning in the plane didn't work and it was around 90degrees in the plane. We went up into the clouds and turbulence got really bad, so bad that half the plane was throwing up. So we started desc...Jump to post

I worry the end might be near for Ultimate Air Shuttle.
I wish [KACY] had flight service to CLT and RDU, and maybe JAX, to the South, and PIT and CLE to the West. Unlike TTN, the operators of ACY are able to promote the airport well. It's advertised in the far northern part of NJ on the Turnpike. It also helps KACY's marketing plans in North Jersey that...Jump to post

IIRC, the 19-seaters were doomed pretty much when they were put under part 121 regulations (I think they were 135 before).. with the added maintenance costs and everything else, it kind of killed them offJump to post
Interesting article involving Via Air. http://www.reviewjournal.com/business/casinos-gaming/caesars-entertainment-sued-over-charter-flights Via Air ended up getting the Caesars contract but then was "fired" by Caesars because they were unable to acquire their 121 Cert from what I heard. I give ACY the worst spotter friendly airport. Last year, I was taking a picture from the road of the "gate guard" aircraft on display (F-16, F106).
