No, the aircraft must be free and clear of the ground for it to count. Therefore, if you are trying to collect a rare/special aircraft, airline, etc. you cannot relax until the wheels have left the ground. If many avgeeks are onboard, you may notice an audible sigh of relief at that moment.

If you want to go downtown to the lakefront, CN Tower, Railroad Museum, stadium area the UP Express train take 25 minutes and they have a special fare for long layovers if you leave from the airport and go back the same day.

In this ATC video, a Lufthansa pilot exits the aircraft (I believe A340) to secure an exterior panel. Given that the aircraft already taxied from the ramp, presumably he got out via the E&E compartment.

Speaking for the entire A320ceo series, there were actually 3 engine types. The A318 was available with the Pratt & Whitney PW6000 which visually resembles the IAE V2500 but is lighter. Avianca and LAN were operators of this option.

I have flown on a good few obscure or unknown airlines. I'll go with this one for the purpose of the question since I think it is one of the smallest I flew. 5012109 Longjiang Airlines which operates 4 A320 series aircraft (only had two when I flew with them). Took them from Zhuhai to Hefei in 2017.
