It is possible. But airbus can’t deliver the planes soon enough and WN doesn’t want another fleet type.

That’s a very significant decrease. ATL is basically like TPA and MCI at this point.

Not allowing Southwest to expand at DAL is the most anticompetitive thing ever. It’s unfair, and ends up affecting consumers more than anything.

Thanks for the info. I’m guessing that the next possible routes might be IAH, YYZ, YUL, PDX, SDQ. Outside of those I don’t really see where else they would add given the hub isn’t really the best for connections.

Flew through BOS the other day on AA, and noticed that DL had quite a few gates empty for a few hours straight. I’m wondering how many more flights DL could add.

AA also has so many gates and thought their level of service seems to be rather low compared to prior years.

I’m shocked WN doesn’t fly DAL-BOS to cater their Dallas-based customers. I’ve had to travel to BOS a couple of times recently and economy tickets on AA/DL were 500+.

There’s no way WN would struggle filling two daily flights.

If WN bought an airline it would be Sun Country. But it’s not happening cause the airline said so and the pilots said they were not aware of any current plans either.

We need a healthy WN. I’m rooting for them and hoping they turn the corner soon. I personally love flying them, but their old interiors and stagnated growth is sad to see.

I see it differently. For example, I’m an AA platinum at DFW. Which means, I’ll never get upgraded. But, I get priority boarding, I earn 60% more miles, I get 2 free checked bags, and I can pick seats with more leg room for free. To me, that’s a pretty sweet deal.

Will the newer 737-700s get the new interiors? Seems odd to not reconfigure them given they’re still a big chunk of the fleet. Those interiors are really old and kind of embarrassing.

Many in SAL/GUA are desperate for WN to start service there. With the whole MAX7 situation and ongoing losses, I doubt they would venture into those markets right now. I could be wrong, though.
