Why do Jet engine actuators like VSV, IGV are operated by fuel pressure and not pressure from the hydraulic system?
Jump to postYes, an EASA license is valid in all EASA member states. Now whether of not airlines are going to subject you to the same fair treatment is a different case, because certain southern European states have a reputation for turning out poor pilots, and I know for certain that pilots from one or two co...

Jump to postIs the licence given by any of the EASA member states considered equal and accepted by others?
Or some authorities/recruiters don't accept licence given by some particular authorities?
I am asking this question as I am planning to apply for Greek basic licence.
In IndiGo in India.
CEO taking a 25% pay cut, SVPs & above are taking 20%, VPs & cockpit crew are taking a 15% pay cut, AVPs, Bands D along with cabin crew will take 10% and Band Cs 5%.
Engineers and customer relations people have been spared as of now.
Hello,
How is the job market for certified maintenance personnel in Europe?
I have 10 years of maintenance experience on A320 and have the EASA basic license.
Do I need to finance my own type rated course or do Airlines/MROs who will employ me sponsor the course for me?

Or is the language of the particular country the main medium in which maintenance manuals, paperwork is being used like French in France or German in Germany. Jump to postAfter much searching on Google in addition to the above explanation I found this. Fir tree root gives it a large bearing area to take up the heavy stresses, and this bearing area is nearer to the axis of the blade. Resulting in resistance to cracking at the root as compared to the root in which the ...
Jump to postGenerally in almost all engines the compressor blades have dovetail roots and the turbine blades have the fir-tree roots.
What is the science behind this?

Jump to postFound this explanation which gives flat rating as a function of turbine exhaust temp, I think which is more logical.

Hi there!
the gyroscopic effect due to the rotating mass affects engines, it is more pronounced in turbo prop engines due to a larger fan.
Even though it is less in turbofan engines is there anything done to counteract it in modern turbofan engines?

Jump to postHi
the flight phase 5 starts when the aircraft reaches 1500 ft after liftoff, and ends when during descent the plane reaches 800ft before touchdown.
want to know why these specific heights were chosen and why not same heights for liftoff and descent?
was curious to know under what ATA code does Aircraft painting come under.
Jump to postThe A320 has 5 spoilers on each wing, numbered from inboard to outboard 1-5.
