Aside from the interesting 23:05 DFW-DUB departure time, every other Europe flight aside from the last LHR flight leaves in the early-mid afternoon.[/quote] There are several LHR departures after "late afternoon". AA78 @ 19.05, AA80 @ 21.20 and BA192 @ 21.55. I usually prefer using AA80 &a...Jump to post
2300 hours is 11 PM. 12:00 AM (midnight) is 00:00 DFW's location in the middle of the U.S. - and importantly, in the Central Time Zone - means that any departures within the U.S. at midnight would mean a 2:00 - 3:00 AM arrival time in most places on the East Coast (DTW, MIA, TPA, ATL, DCA, PHL, NYC...Jump to post

Have been monitoring AA fares on DFW/DUB for the new nonstop flights this summer, and they seem to have been steadily increasing with a chunky premium over 1/2 stop options. Curious if the demand will be strong enough for the service period to be extended beyond the summer season. Hmm I’m flying to...Jump to post

Flew DFW/LHR/SNN and back last month. First time using the EI lounge at LHR. Found staff very friendly and the location great for views and gate access. Surprised that the majority of seats are so worn and/or stained. Will there be a lounge refresh with the new branding? We were impressed by the Bor...Jump to post

Question about EI lounge access at LHR. Does someone flying USA/LHR/SNN ,and flying on EI for the LHR/SNN leg, on a BA ticket with BA silver/Oneworld sapphire status get access to the EI lounge in T2 on the layover in LHR? Have received some conflicting info and wonder if anyone has knowledge. Tks.Jump to post

Just to remind those who don't remember or those who don't know the Southwest policy (like most outside the US). If you can't fit in the seat with the armrests down you must buy a second seat. Does Aer Lingus have any plans to put a Premium Economy section in the transatlantic fleet? Will this be a requirement to join Oneworld? Will they actually join Oneworld? Could this "branding refresh" be connected with a possible EI entry to Oneworld? Is Oneworld entry planned and hoped for 2019, but still waiting on USDOJ approval? EI does not fly DUB-DFW (I wish).
Believe the DFW-DUB flight was a positioning flight to operate services for EI from DUB to substitute for an airbridge damaged A330 (EI-GCF?).

You all are overthinking the question. EI is only interested in places that offer them cash subsidy. It's not about the business, but the short-term conservative gain for management. I think you are cutting it very fine and I would avoid this if on separate tickets.
