I heard this bird late one night flying over COS, he was at FL360 and I could hear the rumble still. Granted in the still of night I can also hear modern aircraft like the 787 but this was quite a lot louder. Very cool!!

If the AI passengers were uncomfortable or had a rough time, it's because they were marooned somewhere with very limited services. I'm willing to bet the experience would have been pretty much the same were they stuck here or Adak, AK. This thread is quite silly.
Jump to postHad LH not had brand new (relatively) 748s rather than BA's 20-30 year old 744 fleet, with their higher fuel burn and Maintenance costs, I suspect they'd have gotten rid of them sooner, too. Lufthansa still has 747-400s too. Yeah, but I’d imagine having the 748s too help with justifying keeping the...
Jump to postThe more I think about it. The Las Vegas to Mexico flights are really just extensions of their ONT-LAS. The market is ONT-Mexico and it will be sort of like a Breeze Thru from ONT-LAS. You might as well offer the connection when you only serve 2-3 cities. Any other news regarding their Marianas ops...
Jump to postThere is probably a governmental/military market for these too. I know the USAF uses the Wolfhounds quite extensively.
I can also see this being useful the Dash 8 100 and 200 market around the world, as well as with Saab 340 operators. The price has to be right though.
Nothing stands out on FR24... you could also just, I don't know, ask the individual.
Jump to postNo. The efficiency of DEN is that both concourses can push while two way traffic is also moving. Widebody gates and international gates seem to already be short even with A west opening. Is DL going to have a widebody gate once they move? They’ve been sending regular WB to Denver since at least 200...

Jump to postSame with Americans who won’t fly Southwest. What, you won’t fly the airline with happy staff, two free bags and free changes? While this American has flown Southwest, they are far from my first choice. Happy staff? Their pilots are currently protest picketing over their next contract. 2 free bags?...
Jump to postOof, tough one for Boeing. That’s what you get when you don’t want to design an NMA. You lose valuable customers. Jump to postWhy Newark, Premia is very ambitious since they only fly to LAX in the USA. San Francisco might seem a better fit. Jump to postBUR-COS makes way more sense than BUR-FNL or BUR-GJT ever did. I could see that one doing well. BUR-BRO, though?!? That couldn't possibly be the best way to move crews and aircraft between this carrier's hubs. Something like BUR-SAT-MCO or BUR-OKC-MCO seems like it would make much more sense? Same ...
Jump to postThe preliminary report is on the NTSB website as of my checking a couple minutes ago. It is quite a read and states, quite frankly, pretty much exactly what I expected it to. Jump to postWe should set up a separate thread to discuss the video. Jump to postThere doesn't have to be a winner and loser... they both can be successful or unsuccessful. Jump to postThe problems in Russia are spare parts related, not lack of engineers and mechanics I would pressume. I think China might sell some old A/B planes at good prices to Russia. Jump to postThat's interesting. Is N195DN known as a hangar queen? Easy to understand that they don't want an aircraft that goes tech all the time on a route that important. Jump to postGreat report! I really enjoyed watching.
Jump to postNot quite. A lot depends upon whether the mandate is legal and constitutional. If it is, then fine. If if isn't, and a business complies with an illegal law or order, then the waters get murky and a company might, under some liability theories, still be liable. The constitutional lawyers are going ...
Jump to postI see these debates and cannot help but think most have employers less strict on vaccines than mine. The airlines seem to be going down to the wire, except for UA.
