Thanks for the replies re:CM in BGI. On the Liat front I believe Barbados's divestment is IMF driven also the government may have also realised like St.Lucia that most of the profitable routes come through BGI so there is no need to keep sinking in the support.

Would the Q400 benefit from using more composite materials ? If they could somehow improve the efficiency of the Q400 that might help. Also I have seen the Q400 being referred to as a hangar queen. If that is the case they will need to improve efficiency,reliability and production costs.

The daily BGI-CLT is seasonal,I am not sure it will be returning this year. I dont think DL will be returning to BGI as B6 and AA have the market covered however, if the Beaches property goes ahead perhaps DL will try again.

While I don't think LIAT will close the BGI government is no longer in the position to prop it up. There will be some fundamental changes coming I believe.

Perhaps you mean for the US market because ATR has been having good sales in the last 5 years. Props are never coming back, too slow and people will never get over the negative they have of props. I would think the Q400 is fine for flights up to an hour. The ATR 600 series is a pretty good ride I would think the Q is pretty similar as the older Q300 is also pretty good.

AA, DL and UA have all made their toilets smaller, just 24" wide. If BW will have wider ones, then the fewer seats will need to have higher yields. AA's 737 MAX seat 12 more passengers than BW's will so that makes room for the larger lavs unless BW is going with a new business class such as CM's

Now that Viking has the rights to all Dash 8 series this could actually be interesting an updated Q300 and Q200 could potentially give ATR some competition.

Interesting development that this has gone year round Saturday's will be pretty busy at BGI. I wonder if the new government will be looking for some additional airlift from Europe.

Is there a weight saving that comes along with the atmosphere cabin ? The atmosphere cabin does look nice and would help on the Q400 passenger experience. Are they things BBD could do the Q400 design to also make it a bit more fuel efficient?
