Re: JetBlue hints at new tail design

Personally, I think they should also consider a name change. Especially if they want to fly to Europe, something more international sounding would benefit the airline greatly. Everyone and their mother thinks of JetBlue as the little darling domestic carrier with cute little narrow body planes. Fro...

Re: JetBlue hints at new tail design

Enough with the special schemes, what JetBlue needs to do is hurry up with the restyled interiors and sharklet installations! The decision was made not to continue with adding sharklets to the 320s Strange decision considering the rising costs of JETA1.. They ran the analysis. The cost of installat...

Re: JetBlue Network Thread 2018

They cant cut DEN PDX or PHX. That would be akin to CO cutting SLC in the 90s. B6 is major airline and they need to serve those places. I could see ABQ and RNO and other secondary, one flight a day red eye cities getting cut. When (and if) this happens though, B6 will officially be lost in the wood...

Agree. I flew LHR-AMS in July and while I loved the widebody on the short route, the interior was in deplorable condition.

Think it's an error. They started BOS-BUR and a second daily JFK-BUR on 9/5, so I imagine that's what they'd be referring to.

London and Paris will be the first cities to see B6 planes. Also, they have not made a decision yet on the type of plane yet but I am here to tell you it will be a twin aisle plane, obviously something in the A330 family of jets. My hunch tells me it will be the a330-800NEO. Whatever it is, I bet M...

Re: JetBlue Adds Former Spirit CEO to Board

I'm not quite sure what to make of this. Obviously bringing Baldanza into the fold indicates a renewed emphasis on cost discipline (through tangible, and potentially culturally difficult, initiatives) and I would hate to see JetBlue become another generic ULCC. I wonder if that's offset, though, by ...

Let's also not forget that upon learning of the error, JetBlue refunded the ticket and all fees ($475), offered the family a $2100 credit for future travel, AND paid them $10,000 for their troubles. Would this be a distressing situation for the parent? Of course. But the child was never in danger, a...

Am I the only one who isn't bothered by a 17 minute evacuation? It was very cold outside, no fire. Wouldn't a reasonable person assess the bigger risk to health was the cold and potential run in with emergency crews. This is bothersome because it reflects a lack of urgency to evacuate the airplane....

Hearsay, but I have gathered that Kirby was really the one responsible for a lot of the product "enhancements" at AA over the last year. If that's true, then good riddance. He's completely eroded any loyalty I had, and many, many others feel the same way. The New AA is a shadow of its for...

I understand there are legalities behind it, but having Dutch speaking FA's seems pointless to me. Much like Germany, English is widely understood. I agree with others that the second food service on many flights - on not just BA but most airlines - is often prepackaged, unhealthy and not that appetizing. But I also agree with others that it's nonetheless a discouraging sign to see airlines cutting back on service for those who want it. Exactl...
