Re: RNO & US West Airports Fuel Shortages

I retired this past March. I wasn’t a trucker, but worked for a utility and we had large trucks that I drove where you needed a CDL. I have had the CDL for about 40 years, with a tanker endorsement. My license was up for renewal and I decided just to downgrade to a regular class A license and drop t...

Re: Upstate New York Aviation Thread - 2021

I don’t remember what year it was, but I flew IAH-DFW-SYR on the CRJ. I think at that time I read something about in being the longest RJ flight in the US. I have lived in Houston for 42 years now, and the best I ever got was on US AIR flying IAH-PIT-SYR, with just a stop at PIT and staying on the s...

Re: United's IAH-SYD flight progress.

There is no reason the flight can't work out of IAH. Qantas is running a very successful A380 daily out of DFW and has for a couple of years. And that is without a JV with its OneWorld Partner American. United has a major hub at IAH and it could serve the same way as DFW does for AA/QF. Also, AKL -...

It’s a super busy airport next to the ocean and the second largest city in America? And it’s always sunny. Don't ever believe LAX is always sunny! Remember the baggage fees were imposed because of oil being $100 a barrel! The fares were high when oil was at $50 plus ripping people off on all the extra charges, baggage fees, and the biggest ripoff of any business I can think of the $200 change fee.
